Chanel Shoes Leather and Fabric Assistant in Florence, Italy – Fixed-term contract for materials analysis and supplier coordination in luxury footwear production.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage technical specifications and PLM system data entry for shoe materials
  • Conduct material testing analysis, evaluate color samples, and catalog materials for qualitative assessment based on technical application
  • Review and evaluate chemical-physical testing results for leather and fabric components
  • Coordinate material release schedules and approve release dates with suppliers
  • Supervise incoming and outgoing shipments of supplier materials, ensuring compliance and traceability
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with footwear teams including accessories, development, industrialization, quality, and sports divisions
  • Maintain technical scheduling and calendar coordination
  • Execute administrative and back-office functions supporting materials workflow

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in similar roles within luxury fashion and footwear
  • Technical training or background in footwear materials science
  • Professional knowledge of English and/or French language
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
