Chanel seeks a Shipping Manager in Candiac, Quebec to oversee warehouse operations, manage logistics teams, and optimize fulfillment processes.
Role & Responsibilities
- Supervise order preparation, verification, and packaging operations to ensure conformity and quality standards
- Plan and coordinate merchandise shipments according to operational priorities and established delivery timelines
- Manage relationships with carriers and logistics partners to optimize service performance and quality
- Verify compliance of shipping documentation and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, service quality, and cost control
- Lead and motivate team members while fostering collaboration and professional development
- Ensure workplace safety through adherence to health and safety protocols and development of a preventive culture
- Coordinate with inventory, receiving, and customer service departments
- Monitor performance indicators and participate in results analysis
Qualifications
- Secondary 5 education minimum completed
- Forklift operation certification
- Significant experience in shipment management or logistics, preferably in a warehouse environment
- Proven team management and organizational competencies
- Proficiency with MS Office and logistics management systems (ERP, WMS, etc.)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of transportation and shipping regulations
- Bilingual proficiency (French/English) required
- Demonstrated ability to analyse performance indicators and recommend improvements
Skills
Experience
Significant experience in shipment management or logistics operations, ideally in a warehouse environment. Demonstrated expertise in team coordination, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.
Education
Secondary 5 education minimum (equivalent to high school diploma in Quebec/Canada).
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Candiac, Quebec, Canada, with easy access to Montreal.
