Chanel seeks a Shipping Administration Manager in Vémars, France to lead fashion logistics and export operations in a full-time role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead, organize, and develop the shipping administration team, fostering competency growth and operational autonomy
- Manage daily expedition execution by coordinating billing and shipping schedules in collaboration with the transport team
- Supervise the preparation and processing of both simple and complex shipments via air, ground, and maritime routes
- Ensure quality, completeness, and regulatory compliance of all billing and transport documentation
- Secure special flows including customer service, alterations, events, non-sellable items, transit operations, express shipments, and Re-Connect logistics
- Guarantee customs, regulatory, and documentary compliance for all export shipments and documentation
- Coordinate seamlessly with Customs and Regulatory Affairs teams on certificates, imports, and country-specific requirements
- Pilot monthly closing operations, accounting closure, and year-end processes within defined deadlines
- Manage open invoices, commercial adjustments, and technical inventory reconciliation
- Serve as primary liaison with Finance Control, Demand Planning, Transport, Customs, Supply Chain, After-Sales Service, IT, and external logistics partners
- Maintain functional expertise of ADE tools including ORLI, Orliweb, Manhattan, MyTower, and associated systems
- Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities to strengthen quality, responsiveness, process security, and team performance
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales administration, international invoicing, logistics, transport, or shipment management
- Expert knowledge of export flows, customs documentation, certificates, Incoterms, and import/export compliance
- Proficiency with commercial adjustments, accounting closures, and period-end processes
- Demonstrated command of ERP, TMS, and operational management tools for rigorous workflow tracking
- Track record as a proximity manager capable of building, mentoring, and developing teams in demanding operational environments
- Strong attention to detail, organizational acumen, and ability to prioritize urgent matters with sound judgment
- Excellent ability to manage complex dossiers and respond to operational challenges with composure and pragmatism
- Proven commitment to knowledge transfer and fostering team polyvalence and skill diversification
- Outstanding interpersonal and collaborative skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated passion for continuous improvement, process formalization, and operational optimization
