Chanel in Taipei City seeks a Senior Visual Merchandising & Maintenance Executive to lead flagship VM and facilities operations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and execute visual merchandising concepts and seasonal windows for the flagship store to uphold Chanel’s brand codes and elevate customer experience.
  • Oversee store fabric, fixtures and building services: plan and manage preventive maintenance, ad hoc repairs and scheduled refurbishments to ensure impeccable presentation.
  • Coordinate contractors, specialist craftsmen and external vendors — from shopfitting to AV and lighting — ensuring works are delivered on time, on spec and within budget.
  • Translate global VM directives into locally viable installations, producing technical drawings, briefs and installation plans for store teams and contractors.
  • Manage VM installation timelines for product launches and events, supervise on-site implementation and sign-off to guarantee visual accuracy and safety compliance.
  • Maintain an asset register for fixtures, lighting and technical equipment; plan replacement cycles and capital expenditure requests.
  • Train and mentor store staff on visual standards, safe handling of fixtures and routine upkeep; act as the primary liaison between retail operations and corporate VM/facilities teams.
  • Control vendor invoices, monitor budgets for maintenance and VM projects, and prepare post-project reports and cost reconciliations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture, engineering, facilities management or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven expertise in visual merchandising principles and retail shopfitting detailing.
  • Demonstrable experience managing facilities, contractors and maintenance programmes within a luxury retail environment.
  • Strong technical literacy with ability to read and produce technical drawings; proficiency in AutoCAD or similar tools preferred.
  • Excellent project management skills, with a track record of delivering multi‑disciplinary projects on time and within budget.
  • Fluency in workplace safety, local building regulations and vendor procurement best practices.
