Chanel is hiring a Senior Tech Lead in Paris to lead platform engineering for the Digital Factory and accelerate cloud-native product delivery.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for a cross-functional engineering squad within the Digital Factory, setting architecture, coding standards and delivery priorities.
- Own design and evolution of scalable, secure platform services and APIs that support Omnichannel retail, e‑commerce and internal tooling.
- Drive cloud-native architecture and platform practices (containerization, orchestration, CI/CD, observability) and partner with DevOps/Platform teams on implementation.
- Mentor and grow engineers through code reviews, pair programming, recruitment support and career feedback.
- Collaborate with product managers, UX, data and business stakeholders to translate product requirements into pragmatic technical roadmaps and incremental deliveries.
- Ensure software quality through automated testing strategies, security-by-design and performance optimisation.
- Manage third-party technical relationships and evaluate emerging technologies to accelerate development velocity.
Qualifications
- Proven technical leadership in software engineering, with responsibility for architecture and delivery of complex, distributed systems.
- Deep practical experience with cloud platforms and platform engineering patterns (CI/CD, containers, orchestration, infrastructure-as-code).
- Strong track record building APIs and backend services that scale in production.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with experience working in multidisciplinary teams and communicating with non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrable commitment to code quality, automated testing and secure development practices.

Experience
Extensive software engineering experience (typically 7+ years) with several years in a technical lead or senior engineering role responsible for architecture and team delivery.
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
