Chanel seeks Senior Manager, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Technical Architect in New York City. Lead architecture, integration, and platform strategy for luxury retail technology. Base $87.5K–$190K.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Design and architect robust Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions, including data models and automation frameworks that deliver seamless and scalable campaign execution
  • Establish and enforce technical standards, coding best practices, and documentation requirements across all platform implementations and custom development
  • Guide critical platform configuration, custom development, and integration decisions to ensure alignment with Chanel's complex luxury retail business objectives
  • Oversee seamless technical integration of Salesforce Marketing Cloud with CRM systems, client engagement channels, and personalization platforms to ensure unified customer experiences
  • Develop and maintain APIs, data connectors, and middleware solutions for real-time data flow, enabling accurate and timely insights across internal teams
  • Build and refine advanced automations using Automation Studio and Journey Builder, incorporating scripting and dynamic content to personalize client interactions
  • Lead technical integration of segmentation, personalization logic, and dynamic content to enhance client journey outcomes
  • Establish and implement client data models, orchestrate ETL processes, and define data extension strategies aligned with marketing objectives
  • Maintain data hygiene, security, and compliance across all integrated systems, upholding regulatory requirements such as CCPA and GDPR
  • Extract, transform, and analyze large datasets using SQL in BigQuery; develop and maintain Looker dashboards and visualizations for stakeholder insights
  • Mentor and develop technical teams including developers, administrators, and marketers on Salesforce Marketing Cloud capabilities and best practices
  • Act as the technical bridge between business stakeholders, internal technology teams, and Salesforce support, translating business requirements into actionable technical solutions
  • Document and communicate data models to enable teams to confidently access and leverage client data for campaign execution
  • Develop and share reusable query templates, dashboards, and reports to empower self-service analytics capabilities
  • Conduct regular compliance audits and implement stringent data privacy standards to protect client information
  • Reduce recurring incidents and technical issues to streamline Campaign Operations workflow and minimize support ticket volume

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of hands-on technical architecture experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Minimum 5 years of direct expertise with Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform
  • In-depth understanding of marketing data processing, including segmentation, transformation, and audience management
  • Proficiency with data integration tools and processes for connecting Salesforce Marketing Cloud to external systems (CRM, web platforms, POS, analytics platforms)
  • Demonstrated expertise with API integrations, ETL processes, and third-party data connectors relevant to marketing automation
  • Working knowledge of data privacy regulations (CCPA, GDPR) and secure customer data management best practices
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot, resolve data issues, and ensure data quality within marketing technology environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with ability to interpret data, generate insights, and optimize campaigns based on performance metrics
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple concurrent projects in fast-paced environments
  • Experience with other leading marketing automation platforms (e.g., Adobe Campaign, Oracle Eloqua, HubSpot)
