Chanel seeks a Senior Retail Marketing Manager in Shanghai to lead strategic campaigns and brand positioning across luxury retail operations in Asia-Pacific.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic marketing campaigns tailored to the Shanghai market and broader China region
- Oversee in-store visual merchandising, events, and experiential marketing activations
- Collaborate with retail leadership, merchandising, and clienteling teams to align brand messaging and sales objectives
- Manage marketing budgets and measure campaign effectiveness through KPIs and ROI analysis
- Coordinate with global and regional marketing departments to ensure brand consistency while respecting local market nuances
- Identify and cultivate client relationships through targeted CRM initiatives and personalized engagement strategies
- Monitor competitive landscape and consumer trends to inform marketing strategies and product positioning
Qualifications
- Minimum 8–10 years of marketing experience, with at least 5 years in luxury retail or fashion
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns in Asia-Pacific markets
- Strong understanding of luxury consumer behavior, brand positioning, and customer experience
- Proficiency in marketing analytics tools and CRM platforms
- Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English
Skills
Experience
Minimum 8–10 years of progressive marketing experience in luxury fashion or selective retail, with substantial exposure to the Asia-Pacific region and preferably direct experience in the Greater China market. Prior experience managing large budgets and leading interdisciplinary teams is essential.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field. An MBA or postgraduate qualification in luxury brand management is advantageous.
