Chanel seeks Senior Manager to lead fashion retail technology strategy and boutique operations programs in New York; $87.5K–$130K annually.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end planning, execution, and governance of large-scale technology programs spanning multiple concurrent workstreams, directing collaboration with technical teams and external vendors while maintaining accountability for on-time, high-quality delivery
  • Shape and champion the strategic direction of the boutique technology portfolio in alignment with Chanel's retail and client experience objectives, advising on prioritization, sequencing, and investment trade-offs
  • Anticipate, assess, and manage program-level risks and interdependencies through a business lens, developing mitigation strategies and escalating with recommendations to protect business value
  • Define program scope, objectives, and key performance indicators in partnership with business, retail, and technology stakeholders; arbitrate scope and priority trade-offs to ensure deliverables create measurable value at the boutique level
  • Establish and maintain governance standards, program documentation, and workstreams using Jira and Confluence; collaborate on program status updates, leadership materials, and steering committee presentations
  • Serve as the primary liaison and decision-making bridge between retail business teams and technology delivery teams, designing and leading cross-functional workshops, working sessions, and steering forums to align stakeholders and drive timely decisions
  • Direct the translation of retail business requirements into structured documentation including business requirements, process flows, and user stories; guide solution design decisions in partnership with technology partners
  • Partner with Boutique Excellence stakeholders on user acceptance testing strategy, change management, and user adoption planning to ensure readiness criteria are met before system launches
  • Translate insights from boutiques, clients, and technology trends into a forward-looking improvement agenda, informing future program opportunities and investment recommendations
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and direction to cross-functional team members, raising the standard of project management practice and modeling effective delivery leadership

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of project and program management experience leading highly complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives, including demonstrated experience guiding or mentoring other project managers
  • Proven track record leading large-scale technology programs end-to-end in luxury retail, boutique environments, or retail operations contexts
  • Advanced stakeholder management and change management capabilities, with documented success influencing senior executives and driving user adoption
  • Expertise with point-of-sale systems, in-store technology platforms, or retail workforce management tools
  • Proficiency in Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies and Atlassian project management tools (Jira and Confluence)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with demonstrated capacity to lead through ambiguity and make sound decisions with incomplete information
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills; ability to engage, persuade, and present credibly to technical, non-technical, and executive audiences
