Chanel seeks Senior Legal Counsel for Indirect Procurement in Paris. Lead all legal aspects of vendor contracts and supply chain compliance.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Advise the procurement team on legal implications of indirect buying contracts and supplier agreements
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex procurement contracts and terms of service
  • Ensure compliance with applicable French, European, and international procurement regulations and laws
  • Manage legal risk assessments and mitigation strategies for indirect procurement activities
  • Oversee supplier contract administration and dispute resolution
  • Develop and maintain procurement legal policies and procedures
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, compliance, and procurement leadership to align legal requirements with business objectives
  • Provide training and guidance to procurement staff on legal and contractual requirements

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Law (Master's or equivalent)
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in legal roles, with substantial focus on procurement or commercial law
  • Demonstrated expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, and management
  • Strong knowledge of French and European regulatory frameworks governing procurement
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
