Chanel in Sao Paulo seeks a Senior Import & Export Analyst to lead customs, international shipments and trade compliance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end import and export operations for the local subsidiary, ensuring timely international shipments and accurate documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Brazilian customs, import/export regulations and international trade controls; prepare and submit customs declarations and audits.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers and internal stakeholders (merchandising, finance, distribution) to optimise routing, cost and lead times.
- Maintain and validate commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, permits and other regulatory paperwork.
- Monitor duty and tax regimes; reconcile landed costs and support finance with classification, valuation and duty mitigation analyses.
- Implement and maintain trade compliance processes and SOPs; lead continuous improvement initiatives and maintain audit-ready records.
- Liaise with government agencies and external advisors on regulatory matters, audits and special procedures (temporary admission, drawback, etc.).
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members and external partners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field.
- Professional experience in import/export operations, customs clearance and international freight within Brazil.
- Deep knowledge of Brazilian customs procedures and documentation requirements; experience with trade compliance frameworks.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with commercial, finance and operations teams and to manage third-party vendors.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Typically 5+ years of progressively responsible experience managing import/export operations, customs clearance and international logistics — preferably within luxury retail, fashion or consumer goods sectors.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or equivalent.
