Chanel seeks Senior Group Director, HR & Employee Relations in New York City. Lead HR service delivery and ER advisory with $166K–$210K base salary.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain robust frameworks and standards for HR and ER service delivery, ensuring consistency and quality across the organization
  • Oversee and mentor HR Generalists to deliver proactive, value-added guidance aligned with business needs and organizational lifecycle moments
  • Direct Employee Relations Specialists to manage complex employee relations cases, investigations, and escalations with sensitivity and legal compliance
  • Implement and continuously refine triage and escalation protocols to optimize case management and service efficiency
  • Share insights, themes, and learnings from case data with HR Business Partners and Centers of Excellence to inform broader HR strategy
  • Monitor service delivery impact using data-driven metrics and analytics to identify continuous improvement opportunities
  • Manage executive-level leadership complexities and high-risk escalation cases directly
  • Lead knowledge-sharing initiatives and upskilling programs across the HR Generalist network, including retail staff
  • Set and oversee compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs), process flows, and delivery metrics
  • Determine escalation thresholds for complex and high-risk cases based on organizational risk tolerance
  • Allocate HR and ER resources strategically based on case complexity and business demand
  • Build standardized tools and templates to enhance consistency and efficiency of service delivery
  • Collaborate proactively with HRBP, Centers of Excellence, and other business stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, Employee Relations, or related disciplines
  • Proven expertise in process design and operational delivery at scale
  • Demonstrated experience developing and tracking metrics for service delivery enhancement
  • Direct people leadership experience required
  • Experience managing and developing teams of HR Generalists and Employee Relations specialists
  • Strong balance of human-centered problem-solving and operational efficiency
  • Retail, hospitality, or customer service industry experience preferred
