Chanel seeks Senior Group Director for High-End Sales & Distribution in New York. Lead luxury jewelry and watches strategy, $175K–$250K.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Design and implement the sales and distribution strategy for high-end offerings (high jewelry and high watchmaking) across the US market
  • Develop and execute long-term strategic initiatives for high jewelry and high watchmaking, establishing clear KPIs and performance metrics
  • Drive revenue growth through private in-store appointments, high-profile client events, and channel-specific sales targets
  • Conduct comprehensive business analysis and reporting; provide strategic recommendations to maximize sales and profitability; contribute to monthly business reviews with senior leadership highlighting performance gaps and opportunities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a specialized team of high-end sales experts with deep gemstone knowledge and luxury storytelling capabilities; recruit high-potential talent and establish clear career pathways
  • Partner cross-functionally with US WFJ departments (Merchandising, Marketing, Client Services, Education), US Fashion, and Global WFJ teams to align regional initiatives with brand strategy and optimize assortment, events, client engagement, and education touchpoints
  • Manage multiple distribution channels including retail, lease, fashion retail partnerships, and multi-brand retailers; optimize channel dynamics and performance
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with ultra-high-net-worth collectors, dealers, and industry stakeholders to support business development

Qualifications

  • 10–15+ years of progressive leadership experience in luxury retail or high-value asset transactions
  • Deep knowledge of gemology, jewelry manufacturing, and historical provenance
  • Proficiency in managing budgets, financial forecasting, and P&L for high-margin categories
  • Established global network of ultra-high-net-worth collectors, dealers, and industry stakeholders
  • Strong ability to work cross-functionally across multiple departments and business units
  • Inspirational leadership with demonstrated ability to motivate, develop, and grow high-performing teams
  • Experience managing multiple distribution channels and understanding their distinct dynamics
  • Strong understanding of the US luxury market, regional diversity, and clientele preferences
