Chanel Shanghai: Senior Fashion Client Insight Manager to lead client intelligence, analytics, and data governance across Fashion China with strategic impact on boutique performance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop client-centric insights and end-to-end analyses to inform strategic priorities, including recruitment analysis, client behavior segmentation, and boutique performance planning, delivering clear narratives and executive-ready visualizations
- Deliver tactical data intelligence through regular and ad-hoc reporting, including monthly client reports, collection performance metrics, rolling forecasts, and management dashboards at national and boutique levels
- Establish and manage a Client Analysis & Sharing platform to enable knowledge distribution across the wider client community, conducting regular knowledge-sharing sessions with key business partners
- Oversee the client data foundation and governance for Fashion China, ensuring CRM infrastructure integrity, robust data quality standards, compliance with PIPL regulations, and a single source of truth for prioritized KPIs
- Lead Business Intelligence tools and dashboard development initiatives, working closely with IT and external vendors to strengthen data flows and accelerate automation through BI platforms and Power BI
- Champion AI and GenAI use cases to streamline work processes, increase business impact, and drive operational efficiency across the analytics function
- Provide strategic leadership to the analytics team, setting clear goals, ensuring accountability, and fostering a culture of continuous learning, strategic thinking capability development, and data literacy
- Build succession plans and talent pipelines by identifying key roles and skills, delegating stretch assignments, providing structured training, and ensuring knowledge transfer to reduce key-person dependencies
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in client intelligence, customer analytics, or client strategy roles
- Demonstrated expertise in DTC premium retail or luxury retail environments, with direct customer data experience
- Strong understanding of luxury retail operations, clienteling practices, and how analytical insights translate into boutique-level actions and client experience improvements
- Proven track record of successful analytics projects using hypothesis-driven problem-solving to identify key business questions and develop clear analytical frameworks
- Expert data storytelling and visualization skills, with demonstrated ability to translate complex analyses into executive-ready narratives and intuitive dashboards
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing capabilities with a collaborative leadership mindset
- Strong program and project management experience, capable of leading complex cross-functional workstreams and initiatives
- Proven experience managing and coaching a sizable analytics or business intelligence team with demonstrable coaching and talent development skills
- Experience working with IT and Data teams through complete dashboard and BI development cycles (requirements gathering through UAT)

Experience
At least 10 years of progressive experience in client intelligence and strategy roles, preferably including strategy consulting background. Demonstrated success in DTC premium retail or luxury retail environments with measurable impact on boutique performance and client retention. Proven leadership experience managing analytics teams and delivering high-impact data-driven projects across complex, matrix organizational structures.
Education
University degree in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Engineering, or equivalent), or equivalent professional certification in business analytics or data science.
