Chanel seeks a Senior Distribution Center Manager in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea to lead logistics, inventory and DC operations for retail and e-commerce.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end distribution centre operations including inbound receiving, put-away, replenishment, picking, packing and outbound shipping to retail and e-commerce channels.
- Own inventory accuracy, cycle-count programmes and stock reconciliation processes to maintain high levels of on-shelf availability and shrink control.
- Define and drive KPIs (OTD, OTIF, picking accuracy, productivity, cost per unit) and implement corrective actions to achieve operational targets.
- Develop workforce plans, manage labour scheduling, oversee training, and cultivate a high-performance, safety-focused culture.
- Partner with regional supply-chain, demand-planning, transport and retail teams to ensure timely allocation, seasonal ramp-ups and promotional flows.
- Manage third-party carriers, warehousing vendors and service-level agreements; negotiate contracts and monitor vendor performance.
- Champion continuous-improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, automation) and lead capital projects to optimise layout, throughput and cost-efficiency.
- Prepare and manage operating budgets, headcount plans and CAPEX for the distribution centre; report performance to senior management.
- Ensure full compliance with HSSE, customs and local regulatory requirements applicable to warehousing and cross-border movements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, industrial engineering, business administration or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 8+ years of progressive experience in warehousing or distribution operations with at least 3–5 years in a senior managerial role.
- Proven experience managing high-volume distribution centres that support both retail and e-commerce channels, ideally within fashion or luxury goods.
- Demonstrable track record of delivering KPI improvements through process redesign, workforce optimisation or automation.
- Strong vendor and stakeholder management skills, including experience with third-party logistics providers.
- Operational leadership with a focus on safety, quality and people development.
- Fluent Korean required; professional working proficiency in English preferred.

Experience
Eight or more years in warehousing, distribution or logistics roles with a minimum of three to five years in senior management leading a multi-functional DC operation supporting retail and e-commerce; experience in luxury/fashion preferred.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, industrial engineering, business or a related discipline; MBA or master’s in supply chain/logistics advantageous.
