Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute global anti‑counterfeiting and brand‑protection strategy across North America and coordinate with regional and global teams.
  • Conduct and supervise investigations into suspected counterfeiters, distributors and online infringers; coordinate evidence collection and undercover operations as required.
  • Initiate and manage enforcement actions including cease & desist letters, administrative takedowns, customs recordation, civil litigation and criminal referrals.
  • Retain, oversee and instruct outside counsel and investigators; manage budgets, litigation strategy and case priorities.
  • Work closely with commercial, retail, e‑commerce, loss prevention and security teams to align enforcement activity with business objectives.
  • Monitor online marketplaces, social platforms and secondary markets; develop scalable takedown and monitoring processes.
  • Prepare internal reporting, metrics and case summaries for senior management; provide strategic legal advice on product launches and distribution.
  • Develop and deliver training for commercial and store teams on counterfeit identification, reporting procedures and evidentiary requirements.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree and active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Proven track record in trademark, anti‑counterfeiting or IP enforcement in‑house at a luxury brand or at a law firm.
  • Demonstrable experience managing civil litigation, customs enforcement and coordinated criminal referrals.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills; experience instructing and managing outside counsel.
  • Ability to operate in a cross‑functional, international environment with discretion and cultural sensitivity.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
