Chanel seeks a Senior Communications Manager in London to lead press, campaigns and stakeholder communications for the Maison.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement integrated communications strategies that advance the Maison’s positioning across fashion, beauty and corporate narratives in the UK market.
  • Lead media relations and press engagement: cultivate relationships with national and international press, secure coverage and coordinate interviews and briefings.
  • Serve as senior communications counsel to local leadership and cross‑functional teams during campaign launches, product debuts and corporate announcements.
  • Manage crisis and issues communications, including rapid response plans, statement drafting and alignment with global headquarters.
  • Oversee local execution of global campaigns and launches, coordinating with marketing, digital, retail and external agencies to ensure message consistency.
  • Plan and deliver press events, previews and experiential activations for key launches, liaising with logistics and creative teams.
  • Manage external agency relationships and budgets, set KPIs and ensure rigorous measurement of earned, owned and digital media performance.
  • Mentor and supervise junior communications staff, providing editorial guidance and performance feedback.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ progressive communications or PR experience, with a significant portion in luxury fashion, beauty or premium lifestyle brands.
  • Proven experience leading media relations and delivering high‑impact earned media results at the national or international level.
  • Demonstrable crisis communications experience and ability to act decisively under confidentiality and time pressure.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with experience coordinating cross‑disciplinary teams and external agencies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; editorial precision and a refined sense for brand tone of voice.

Experience
