Chanel seeks Senior Accountant for North Asia and Southeast Asia operations in Kuala Lumpur. Regional finance leadership role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage accounting operations and financial reporting for assigned entities across North Asia and Southeast Asia
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP standards
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions
- Conduct financial analysis and variance reporting for operational performance monitoring
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and statutory requirements across multiple jurisdictions
- Coordinate with regional and global finance teams on consolidation and reporting processes
- Support audit activities and maintain effective internal control environments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional accounting qualification (CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred
- Minimum 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience in a multinational environment
- Proven experience with multi-entity accounting and regional finance management
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards in Southeast Asian jurisdictions

Experience
Minimum 7–10 years of professional accounting experience in multinational organizations, with demonstrated capability in managing accounting operations across multiple jurisdictions. Prior experience in luxury, retail, or fashion industries is advantageous. Regional exposure to Southeast Asian markets and familiarity with local regulatory environments is strongly preferred.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Professional accounting certification (CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
