Chanel seeks a Sales Assistant (Summer Internship) in Cannes — boutique role focused on client service, merchandising and retail operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, bespoke service to clients in the boutique, managing appointments and clienteling activities.
- Support sales transactions using the point-of-sale system and ensure accurate cash and payment handling.
- Maintain exemplary boutique presentation through visual merchandising and daily housekeeping aligned with brand standards.
- Assist with stock receipt, inventory control and replenishment; prepare merchandise for display and sale.
- Participate in boutique events and client outreach initiatives; assist with packaging and after‑sales follow-up.
- Learn and apply product knowledge across relevant categories (fashion, accessories, beauty) and convey brand heritage to clients.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a tertiary education program (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in fashion, business, hospitality or a related discipline.
- Fluency in French; strong working knowledge of English preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a polished, client‑centric manner.
- Flexibility to work retail hours including weekends and public holidays during the summer period.
- Professional appearance and strong team orientation; legal right to work in France.

Previous retail or luxury sales experience is advantageous but not required; candidates should demonstrate strong customer service aptitude and an eagerness to learn brand protocols.
