Sales Assistant – 6-month contract at Chanel in Panama City. Support export market operations with order processing, client management, and sales analysis.
Role & Responsibilities
- Receive, analyze, process, and manage monthly client purchase orders (POs) submitted via email, ensuring accurate system entry and data integrity
- Maintain and verify client information accuracy, including addresses, global purchase orders, and order line items within Dynamics AX
- Confirm and audit client purchase orders with the Traffic department for auditing purposes and regulatory compliance
- Process invoices received through Basware and support payment procedures with internal finance stakeholders
- Prepare and coordinate courier shipments (FedEx) for client and point-of-sale deliveries upon approval from the Sales Area Manager
- Receive and validate monthly client sales out reports for accuracy and completeness
- Perform sales analysis and generate business intelligence insights using BI tools as requested by management
- Identify and investigate client needs for campaign materials, including blotters, testers, samples, pouches, decorative elements, and point-of-sale marketing collateral
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
- Fluent in both English and Spanish
- Minimum 1+ years of relevant work experience, ideally within regional distribution, market research, or competitive analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong data handling and analytical capabilities
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
Skills
Experience
1+ years of relevant work experience, ideally within regional distribution companies covering market research and competitive analysis. Prior exposure to sales operations, order processing, or logistics support is advantageous.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
