Role & Responsibilities

  • Monitor Security Operations Center (SOC) dashboards and alerts; perform initial triage and classification of security events.
  • Investigate incidents using log and network data, escalate verified incidents to senior responders and maintain incident records.
  • Support risk analysis activities by identifying patterns, assessing control effectiveness and contributing to remediation plans.
  • Assist in tuning and maintaining detection rules, playbooks and SIEM queries to reduce false positives and improve coverage.
  • Produce clear technical and executive summaries of findings, remediation recommendations and post-incident reports.
  • Collaborate with IT, infrastructure and application teams to validate events, deploy mitigations and participate in security projects.
  • Contribute to threat-hunting exercises and integrate open-source and commercial threat intelligence into operational processes.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's programme in cybersecurity, computer science, information systems or equivalent (required for alternance).
  • Basic understanding of network protocols, log sources, and common attack vectors (OSINT, phishing, lateral movement).
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret technical telemetry and transform insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for producing incident reports and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Eligible for an alternance/apprenticeship contract in France and available to start in September 2026.
