Chanel Merchandising Assistant – Leather Goods internship in Paris, beginning January 2027. Fashion luxury internship opportunity.
Role & Responsibilities
- Participate in preparation of 3–4 collections during the internship period
- Consolidate purchasing projections, sales forecasts, and stock data from multiple markets to establish global purchase forecasts
- Project purchase volumes by product theme, shape, and color
- Assist in developing assortment recommendations for markets
- Monitor exchange sessions and market feedback during showroom presentations
- Conduct debriefing meetings following purchases with each market
- Consolidate qualitative market feedback for transmission to Collection Merchandising and Creative Studio teams
- Define delivery priorities and target volumes at collection launches
- Execute weekly performance reporting on collections (Street style, missed opportunities, bestsellers) to senior management
- Support inventory optimization and Sell-Through improvement in collaboration with Production and Supply Chain
- Monitor competitive pricing
- Consolidate qualitative market feedback on collections for presentation to the Collection Merchandising team
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a business school or equivalent program
- Strong analytical mindset and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to anticipate needs
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
- First significant professional experience, ideally in Fashion and/or Luxury sector
- Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
- Fluent in both English and French (spoken and written)
