Chanel is recruiting a Retail Cashier at its Bon Marché boutique in Paris. Fixed-term contract; client-focused checkout role.

Role & Responsibilities
- Operate the checkout point-of-sale (POS) terminal accurately and efficiently, processing cash, card and other payment methods.
- Deliver an elevated client experience at every transaction, ensuring discretion, personalization and adherence to Chanel service standards.
- Perform opening and closing cash reconciliations; maintain accurate till records and report variances promptly.
- Handle returns, exchanges and after-sales requests in accordance with store policies and French retail regulations.
- Collaborate closely with sales advisors and concierge staff to manage client queries and follow-up actions.
- Uphold boutique presentation standards around the checkout area and support visual merchandising as required.
- Adhere to loss-prevention procedures, anti-fraud controls and data protection practices.
- Contribute to administrative tasks related to sales reporting, receipts and simple inventory checks.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in cash handling and POS operation; experience in luxury retail strongly preferred.
- Unimpeachable integrity, attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a client-focused demeanour and professional presentation.
- Ability to work retail shifts including evenings, weekends and peak seasonal periods.
- Familiarity with French retail regulations for returns and receipts is an asset.

Experience
Typically 1+ year of direct cash-handling experience in a retail environment; experience within luxury or premium boutiques is preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in retail, hospitality or customer service is a plus.
