Chanel — Retail Cashier (CDI) in Paris. Responsible for POS transactions, cash management and delivering exceptional client service in a luxury boutique.
Role & Responsibilities
- Operate the point-of-sale system accurately and efficiently for all payment types (cash, card, gift vouchers), ensuring compliance with company cash-handling procedures.
- Perform daily cash reconciliation, prepare till reports and secure funds according to internal controls and loss-prevention policies.
- Deliver exemplary client service: welcome clients, manage queue flow, process sales, returns and exchanges, and support clienteling and loyalty programme activities.
- Collaborate closely with sales advisors and store management to ensure seamless customer journeys and meet boutique performance objectives.
- Maintain boutique standards at the checkout: tidy POS area, appropriate merchandising, and adherence to brand visual and service protocols.
- Handle administrative tasks related to transactions (invoicing, receipts, tax paperwork) and escalate discrepancies or disputes to management.
Qualifications
- Secondary education (high school diploma) or equivalent; vocational training in retail or hospitality is advantageous.
- Demonstrable numerical accuracy and proven reliability in cash-handling responsibilities.
- Professional grooming, polished communication skills and a client-focused demeanour appropriate to a luxury retail environment.
- Availability to work flexible retail hours, including weekends and peak seasonal periods.
- Right to work in France and ability to comply with local employment requirements.
