Chanel in New York seeks a Retail & Trade Marketing Specialist to run in-store activations, trade programs and retail campaigns.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute retail and trade marketing plans that align with annual brand and product calendars across owned stores and wholesale partners.
- Design and manage in-store activations, visual merchandising support, POS materials and promotional campaigns to drive sell‑through and average transaction value.
- Collaborate with wholesale accounts and retail operations to implement product launches, seasonal assortments and promotional mechanics while ensuring brand compliance.
- Coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders (merchandising, PR, digital, visual merchandising and regional sales) to deliver seamless omni-channel campaigns.
- Monitor retail performance and campaign KPIs; produce regular reports and actionable insights to optimise marketing tactics and inventory flow.
- Manage external vendors and production partners for collateral, displays and event delivery, including timelines, quality control and budget adherence.
- Provide training and sales enablement materials to store teams and wholesale partners to ensure consistent customer experience and product knowledge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
- 3–5 years of progressive experience in retail or trade marketing, preferably within luxury fashion, beauty or premium consumer goods.
- Proven track record launching retail campaigns and in‑store activations with measurable commercial impact.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience tracking retail KPIs and converting analysis into tactical recommendations.
- Excellent stakeholder management and vendor coordination skills; able to operate in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment.

3–5 years of hands‑on experience in retail, trade or field marketing within luxury fashion, cosmetics or other premium consumer categories, including direct management of in‑store activations and wholesale partner programs.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field preferred.
