Chanel seeks a Regulatory Affairs Expert in Neuilly-sur-Seine for the Perfumes & Beauty division with 8+ years of cosmetics compliance expertise.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement regulatory compliance strategies for perfumes and beauty products across multiple markets
- Ensure adherence to international regulatory requirements including INCI compliance, ingredient declarations, and safety standards
- Prepare and submit regulatory submissions and dossiers to relevant authorities and competent bodies
- Monitor regulatory landscape changes and assess impact on existing and new product formulations
- Collaborate with R&D, Marketing, and Quality teams to ensure regulatory alignment during product development
- Manage relationships with regulatory bodies and external compliance consultants
- Conduct regulatory training for internal stakeholders on applicable laws and requirements
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biology, or related scientific discipline
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in regulatory affairs, preferably in the beauty, cosmetics, or luxury goods sector
- Comprehensive knowledge of EU cosmetics regulations (EC 1223/2009) and equivalent frameworks in other key markets
- Proficiency in regulatory documentation and submission processes
- Strong understanding of safety assessment and toxicology principles
Skills
Experience
Minimum 8-10 years of professional experience in regulatory affairs, specifically within the cosmetics, perfumes, beauty, or luxury goods industries, with proven track record of successful regulatory submissions and compliance management across multiple geographic markets.
Education
Advanced degree (Master's or equivalent) in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Biology, or related scientific discipline; additional regulatory certification (such as RAC or equivalent) is advantageous.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Neuilly-sur-Seine, Île-de-France, France, with easy access to Paris.
