Chanel is hiring a Regional Process Lead - Record to Report in Paris to lead regional R2R, month-end close and controls.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the end-to-end Record to Report (R2R) process across the assigned region, ensuring timely and accurate month-end and year-end closes.
- Own general ledger integrity: oversee journal entries, account reconciliations, intercompany settlements and ledger analysis.
- Design, implement and monitor internal controls and SOX-related procedures to mitigate financial risk and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Partner with local accounting teams, FP&A, tax and treasury to align reporting, deliver consistent financial statements and resolve accounting issues.
- Drive standardisation and continuous improvement of R2R processes, including process mapping, KPI definition and automation opportunities.
- Manage regional process governance for ERP accounting modules and participate in system implementations or upgrades.
- Provide coaching, training and performance feedback to regional accounting practitioners; act as the escalation point for complex accounting queries.
- Prepare and present R2R metrics, close-status reports and improvement roadmaps to regional and corporate stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent; master’s degree or professional accounting designation (ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent) preferred.
- Deep technical knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS and/or local GAAP) and financial reporting requirements.
- Demonstrated experience implementing and sustaining internal controls and SOX frameworks.
- Proven ability to lead cross-border accounting processes, with prior responsibility for month-end close and reconciliations.
- Strong stakeholder management and change-management experience in a multinational matrix environment.

Experience
Typically 6+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience with demonstrated ownership of R2R processes; prior regional or multinational process-lead experience and people coaching responsibilities are expected.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline; professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent) preferred.
