Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the commercial strategy and assortment plan for the eyewear category across Swiss markets, aligned with global brand positioning and seasonal collections.
  • Own category P&L, sales forecasting, margin management and pricing strategy to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Manage vendor and supplier relationships, lead negotiations on assortment, lead-times, costing and commercial terms while ensuring compliance with Chanel quality standards.
  • Coordinate product lifecycle activities from concept and development through launch and end-of-life, collaborating with design, product development and quality teams.
  • Translate consumer and market insights into actionable range architecture, SKU rationalization and store-level allocation plans.
  • Partner with retail, wholesale, marketing and e‑commerce teams to build go-to-market plans, merchandising calendars and promotional cadence.
  • Monitor sell-through, inventory levels and ageing; drive corrective actions and replenishment strategies to optimize stock and availability.
  • Prepare and present regular commercial reports and business reviews for regional leadership, using data to inform decisions and identify growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, Marketing or related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in category management, buying or merchandising within eyewear, accessories or luxury fashion; demonstrable P&L responsibility.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in assortment planning, pricing, forecasting and vendor negotiations.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and influence senior stakeholders across markets.
  • Deep understanding of the Swiss retail landscape and consumer behaviours across French- and German-speaking regions; multilingual capability (French and English fluency recommended; German advantageous).
  • Excellent analytical skills, comfortable working with sales and inventory data to drive decisions.
