CHANEL is recruiting a Real Estate Security and Safety Expert on a permanent, full-time contract in Paris. The role defines security strategy for real estate projects, supports technical protection across sites and leads technology monitoring and innovation for CHANEL SAS’s corporate, European, beauty, fashion, watchmaking and jewelry activities.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define security principles for new-build projects, extensions, renovations, relocations, moves and upgrades to existing sites.
- Translate identified risks into operational security programmes proportionate to each site's business, asset, human and reputational stakes.
- Determine appropriate protection levels based on site criticality, activity sensitivity, flow value, external exposure and local constraints.
- Support real estate projects within the scope through audits, acquisitions, construction and site changes, integrating and adapting security and safety systems.
- Ensure consistency across human surveillance, technical systems, access arrangements, flow management and operating procedures.
- Assess existing systems, resolve complex issues and guide high-value technical choices.
- Maintain close, trusted relationships with local contacts on security and safety matters.
- Integrate fire safety, HSE, business continuity and day-to-day operations where they interact with security systems.
- Develop broad technology monitoring across security and safety solutions.
- Identify relevant innovations for sites and assess their maturity, benefits, limitations, usage risks and alignment with internal standards.
- Structure and support the associated service offering for the scope.
- Organize benchmarks, lessons learned, pilots and proofs of concept with internal and external partners.
- Ensure a responsible approach to technology, incorporating compliance, cybersecurity, data protection, social acceptance and operational efficiency.
- Develop recommendations anticipating market developments, new malicious operating methods and opportunities to modernize security systems.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in security, building safety, physical protection engineering, real estate, construction, security project management assistance (AMO sûreté), or sensitive industrial, retail or commercial environments.
- Ability to work across complex, multi-site, multi-country environments and with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong technical understanding of security systems, physical protection measures and real estate environments.
- Strong interest in innovation, technology monitoring and the pragmatic assessment of emerging solutions.
- Ability to develop recommendations for senior leadership, make decisions, challenge and influence without direct managerial authority.
- Analytical rigor, risk awareness, a hands-on orientation, concise communication and the ability to turn complex issues into concrete action plans.
- Professional English required.
- Regular travel expected depending on projects and sites.
