Ready-to-Wear Product Manager at Chanel Paris | Lead product development for luxury fashion collections
Role & Responsibilities
- Respond to studio requests including vintage references, pattern work, and prototype trials, whilst optimising workshop conditions for creative sessions
- Launch and coordinate product developments with manufacturers, ensuring feasibility assessments align with studio vision and heritage codes
- Establish and maintain technical dossiers for all styles, documenting finishes, thermo-testing, and updates following creative validation
- Verify product consistency against brand guidelines including silhouette integrity, durability standards, target pricing, and production feasibility
- Coordinate sample and haberdashery shipments with manufacturers, conducting quality and aesthetic compliance checks upon reception
- Manage styling and collection debriefs, capturing stylistic inputs and updating technical documentation to reflect creative refinements
- Oversee Press Rack coordination for post-show delivery and facilitate handover to publicity teams
- Ensure accurate product codification and nomenclature integrity within the PLM system
- Develop category expertise through trade show participation, competitive intelligence, and supplier facility visits
- Supervise retouching processes during styling sessions and monitor the delivery timeline of collection prototypes
- Obtain price decompositions early in development and consolidate unit retail prices for each style
- Monitor collection budgets in coordination with the controlling department and provide pricing intelligence for decision-making
- Mentor the Assistant Product Manager and contribute to product expertise cultivation across the supply chain
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of product development experience in fashion or apparel
- Technical training in styling or patternmaking with demonstrated product sensitivity
- Expertise in denim, leather, or technical fabrics (swimwear, sportswear, etc.)
- Strong organisational, anticipatory, and interpersonal capabilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Fluency in English and French; Italian considered advantageous

Experience
Minimum 5 years of product development experience in a fashion or ready-to-wear environment, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of sourcing, industrialisation, collection management, and supplier relations.
Education
Technical training in styling, patternmaking, or equivalent fashion design discipline required.
