Chanel is hiring a Raw Materials Buyer (Fragrance & Beauty) in Pantin. Procurement role focused on sourcing, supplier negotiation and quality for Parfums Beauté.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement of raw materials and ingredients for fragrance and beauty product lines, ensuring availability, quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and execute category strategies for ingredients, including supplier selection, qualification and performance management.
- Negotiate commercial terms, contracts and pricing with strategic and local suppliers to optimise total cost of ownership.
- Collaborate closely with R&D, regulatory, quality and supply chain teams to ensure specifications, compliance and timely technical transfers.
- Drive supplier audits, risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives, including sustainability and responsible-sourcing measures.
- Monitor market trends, commodity pricing and innovation in olfactory and cosmetic raw materials to inform sourcing decisions.
- Maintain accurate procurement documentation, forecasts and purchase order lifecycle management; escalate and resolve supply issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in procurement, chemistry, cosmetic science, business or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven track record in procurement or sourcing of cosmetic or fragrance raw materials, preferably within the beauty industry.
- Strong negotiation and contract-management experience with demonstrated ability to manage supplier relationships at scale.
- Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks and safety standards relevant to fragrance and cosmetic ingredients (e.g., IFRA, REACH considerations).
- Fluent stakeholder-management skills with ability to work cross-functionally in R&D, quality, regulatory and supply-chain teams.
- High ethical standards and commitment to sustainable and responsible sourcing practices.

Experience
Typically 3–5 years of procurement or sourcing experience within cosmetics, fragrance or ingredient supply chains; demonstrable exposure to supplier negotiation and category management.
Education
Bachelor's degree in procurement, business, chemistry, pharmacy, cosmetic science or equivalent professional experience.
