Role & Responsibilities

  • Act as the local quality representative for the manufacturing site, ensuring products comply with Chanel specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform and coordinate incoming, in-process and final inspections; manage non-conformances and document containment actions.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (8D/CAPA) until resolution and verify effectiveness.
  • Conduct supplier quality follow-ups and supplier audits; liaise with procurement and supply-chain teams to resolve supplier-related issues.
  • Maintain and report quality KPIs, generate inspection and trend reports, and present findings to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Support internal and external audits and contribute to continuous improvement projects (FMEA, SPC, AQL).
  • Ensure correct use and calibration of measurement equipment and oversee metrology activities on site.

Qualifications

  • Technical diploma, bachelor’s degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering, watchmaking, micro-mechanics or quality management.
  • Proven track record in quality assurance/control within precision manufacturing or Swiss watchmaking.
  • Practical knowledge of quality methodologies: 8D, Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, SPC and AQL.
  • Experience managing supplier quality and conducting supplier audits.
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills, including experience with quality management systems (ISO 9001).
  • Fluency in French and professional proficiency in English.

Education

Technical diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, watchmaking, micro-mechanics, or quality management; vocational watchmaking qualifications are acceptable.
