Chanel Quality Operations Manager – Costume Jewelry & Belts in Paris. Oversee quality standards for eight annual collections and lead manufacturing partnerships.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead quarterly quality results reviews with manufacturing partners and develop corrective action initiatives to enhance in-boutique performance
- Conduct quality audits of manufacturers under the Quality Label program and manage action plans to strengthen their quality systems
- Oversee management of market quality incidents and alerts in collaboration with the Quality Direction, manufacturing partners, Supply Chain teams, and regional quality managers
- Develop and maintain technical quality documentation detailing collection-specific requirements for markets and boutiques
- Participate in all market quality meetings to address inquiries from boutiques and markets regarding costume jewelry and belts specifications
- Collaborate with customer service teams on quality initiatives including repair procedures, training standardization, and repairability protocols
- Deploy and maintain quality tools, methodologies, reporting systems, and digital platforms including FLOW-CTRL D and document management systems
- Monitor industrialization and production progress for each collection to identify risks and market-relevant specifications
- Capture and analyze significant quality findings for organizational learning and participate in formal experience feedback sessions
Qualifications
- Engineering degree with specialization in materials, metallurgy, leather, or equivalent technical qualification (Bac+5)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in quality management and/or industrialization within metal components or parts manufacturing
- Solid technical knowledge of manufacturing processes including foundry work, stamping, machining, and electroplating
- Proficiency with quality tools and methodologies such as 6M/5 Whys, Ishikawa diagrams, 8D problem-solving, and statistical process control
- Strong analytical and synthesis capabilities with demonstrated attention to detail and responsiveness
- Proficiency with Excel, PLM systems, and standard business software
- Fluent in French and English (spoken and written); Italian language proficiency is advantageous
Skills
Experience
3 years of quality management and/or industrialization experience in metal components or parts manufacturing. Demonstrated involvement with manufacturing partners, quality audit processes, corrective action implementation, and technical specification documentation.
Education
Engineering degree (materials, metallurgy, leather, or related disciplines) or equivalent technical qualification at Bac+5 level.
