Chanel seeks a Quality Control and Jewelry After-Sales Service Supervisor in Taipei to oversee watches and fine jewelry QC and repair operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Supervise quality control and manipulation standards for watches and jewelry, ensuring all pieces are in proper selling condition and protected from damage; recommend professional after-sales repair solutions and train retail, visual merchandising, and public relations teams on proper handling techniques, particularly for high jewelry
- Coordinate and monitor end-to-end quality checking processes for core and high-end watches and jewelry; provide boutique support and training on QC and manipulation issues; conduct relevant analysis and reporting; represent the country within Chanel's worldwide quality organization
- Act as quality gatekeeper for product novelties to meet commercial requirements; flag critical concerns to merchandising and retail management; alert stakeholders to major damage or repair issues affecting high-end pieces
- Coordinate and monitor end-to-end repair processes for core and high-end jewelry across local and global in-house and external workshops; manage spare parts, ordering, and inventory control; provide boutique support and training on repair issues and knowledge
- Share quality alerts and issues with the watch after-sales team; coordinate with the watches, fine jewelry, and haute jewelry (WFJ) division to address quality concerns and implement continuous improvement action plans
- Coordinate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operational flow of all WFJ quality and after-sales service processes; manage customer objections and complaints with professional resolution and improvement planning
- Ensure proficiency with POS, CASS, WMS, AX, and S@VE systems; maintain accurate procedures, processes, and data manipulation across all operational systems
Qualifications
- College or university degree
- Qualification from an internationally accepted gemology institute such as the Gemological Institute of America (GIA)
- GIA Graduate Gemologist Diploma (G.G.) is a plus
- Minimum five years of professional experience in jewelry manufacturing, quality control, or luxury watches and fine jewelry sectors
- Demonstrated experience in statistical quality control and data analysis
- Knowledge or experience in metal craftsmanship
- Expert proficiency in watches and fine jewelry quality control and repair knowledge
- Ability to bridge manufacturing standards with local market and customer expectations
- Strong capacity to transfer expert skills and knowledge to retail teams

Minimum five years of professional experience in jewelry manufacturing, quality control, or luxury watches and fine jewelry sectors. Demonstrated expertise in statistical quality control and data analysis. Practical knowledge or experience in metal craftsmanship and luxury goods production environments. Prior experience training retail teams on product handling and quality standards is advantageous.
Education
Bachelor's degree from a college or university. Qualification from an internationally recognized gemology institute such as the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) is required. The GIA Graduate Gemologist Diploma (G.G.) is highly preferred.
