Chanel seeks Boutique Project Manager in Hong Kong to lead luxury retail projects across Asia Pacific, managing design, construction, and stakeholder collaboration.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Head of Project Development and Boutique Architecture team with professional expertise in design management and project execution
- Manage the complete lifecycle of boutique projects, ensuring alignment between operational requirements and architectural implementation
- Develop design solutions during concept and design development phases; address project-specific constraints during construction
- Monitor and control project budgets, schedules, contracts, and tender documentation in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external consultants
- Oversee local contractors, vendors, and consultants to achieve design excellence and manage ad-hoc construction challenges
- Assess project risks and develop risk mitigation strategies with the project team
- Collaborate with business divisions and market stakeholders to prepare project briefs, feasibility studies, and due diligence documentation
- Coordinate with procurement and quantity surveying teams on material sourcing, purchase orders, and logistics management
- Ensure compliance with CSR and LEED sustainability guidelines whilst maintaining high workmanship standards
- Remain current with design trends, construction standards, sustainability practices, and retail innovation
Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience in luxury retail or hospitality project management
- Professional knowledge of design management and construction administration
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders in complex project environments
- Strong risk assessment and problem-solving capability
- Experience with project budgeting, scheduling, and contract management
- Familiarity with sustainability standards (LEED, CSR frameworks)
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in project management, design management, or construction administration within luxury retail, hospitality, or related sectors. Demonstrated experience leading or supporting complex boutique or retail design and construction projects from concept through completion.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Project Management, Civil Engineering, Real Estate Development, or a related built environment discipline.
