Chanel Research & Development, Pantin: 6-month contract for Chemical Expertise and Physico-Chemical Analysis Specialist in Perfumes & Beauty Division.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct chemical and physico-chemical analyses across all product lifecycle stages, including contaminant identification, failure analysis, appearance characterization, and stability testing
- Prepare comprehensive expertise reports with clear conclusions and actionable recommendations for internal client teams
- Collaborate with formulation, production, quality, and regulatory teams to understand field-based challenges and ensure corrective action implementation
- Support development and optimization of analytical methodologies aligned with identified expertise needs
- Monitor regulatory and scientific developments within assigned scope and participate in associated regulatory meetings
- Contribute to scientific valorization and communication of laboratory work
Qualifications
- University degree (Bac+5) in Chemistry, Physico-Chemistry, or Materials Science
- Demonstrated interest in cosmetics and beauty science
- First-hand experience in expertise, analytical problem-solving, or failure analysis
- Strong scientific curiosity with capability for analysis and synthesis
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with responsiveness
- Excellent interpersonal skills and aptitude for clear, pedagogical communication of technical results
