Chanel seeks an experienced Programme Manager to lead its Fashion Master Data Platform initiative in Paris. Lead data governance and MDM transformation.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive audit of current systems and identify improvement opportunities across the product data ecosystem
  • Define functional and technical target state architecture and establish the transformation roadmap
  • Pilot and oversee deployment of Master Data Management (MDM) solutions and data platforms
  • Establish data governance processes and implement documentation tools including data catalogs, lineage mapping, and data quality frameworks
  • Collaborate across product, supply chain, retail, and client-facing teams to align stakeholder requirements
  • Partner with Data Governance, Data Technologies, and Data Factory centres of excellence, plus external vendors, to drive programme success
  • Lead cross-functional, pluridisciplinary teams and manage complex stakeholder engagement across business and IT functions

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience managing complex data projects and programmes with proven expertise in data management methodologies and tools
  • Demonstrated proficiency in data governance and Master Data Management (MDM), ideally within fashion, luxury goods, or retail sectors
  • Deep expertise in data governance principles, tools (catalogues, lineage, quality, documentation), and information systems architecture with ability to design and deploy target architectures
  • Mastery of MDM solutions and data platforms
  • Strong knowledge of process and workflow documentation, data flow mapping, and systems integration
  • Proven track record leading complex, strategic programmes with cross-functional, external, and operational stakeholder management
  • Demonstrated leadership capability to align and motivate pluridisciplinary teams
  • Exceptional analytical and synthetic thinking with rigour, organisation, and strategic prioritisation skills
  • Results-oriented mindset with strong solution-driven approach
