Chanel seeks Ready-to-Wear Production Manager in Paris (12-month contract). Manage subcontractor operations and supply chain delivery.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Ensure product availability from subcontractors in line with Chanel's ambitious objectives and boutique assortment requirements
  • Manage the complete value chain from product standardization (liaising with the design office) through final delivery (coordinating with supply chain), including material and trim procurement
  • Lead parallel transformation projects to support growth and responsible business goals
  • Negotiate fabrication schedules with assigned subcontractors to meet boutique delivery timelines
  • Define back-scheduling for standardization and production launches in close collaboration with the design office
  • Launch and monitor prototypes in workshop settings alongside design teams
  • In partnership with purchasing, track and optimize subcontractor material supply planning to prevent chain disruptions, including material allocation in information systems
  • Conduct daily operational monitoring of subcontractor delivery performance against negotiated schedules
  • Propose and implement continuous improvement practices in production management, planning, procurement, processes, and tools
  • Update, enhance, and disseminate key performance indicators including delivery performance, supply planning reliability, and manufacturability
  • Actively support deployment of new tools, particularly Power BI
  • Lead subcontractor engagement around performance through collection reviews, capacity planning, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support subcontractors in responsible transformation projects with targeted accompaniment
  • Independently manage or participate in continuous improvement projects for processes, tools, and operations
  • Present portfolio projects to departmental and executive committees

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree from an engineering school, business school, or university
  • One or more internships and/or apprenticeships in production management, logistics, supply chain, or procurement
  • Strong technical knowledge of collections and product specifications
  • Excellent proficiency in Office tools, particularly Excel and Power BI
  • High aptitude for systems and new tools
  • Knowledge of ORLIWEB and PLM tools is a plus

Experience
