Chanel is hiring a Product Merchandising Assistant intern (Ready-to-Wear, Shoes & Eyewear) in Paris for the French market, starting July 2026.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support merchandising activities for Ready-to-Wear, Shoes and Eyewear collections targeted to the French market across seasonal cycles.
- Assist in assortment construction and SKU rationalization to optimise sell-through, margin and inventory levels.
- Prepare sales, stock and performance reports; analyse sell-in / sell-out trends to inform replenishment and allocation recommendations.
- Contribute to pricing and markdown simulations, and help maintain accurate product and pricing databases.
- Coordinate cross‑functional communication with buying, planning, design and retail teams to ensure collection consistency and market readiness.
- Produce merchandising packs, visual presentation materials and product briefs for internal stakeholders and retail partners.
- Support ad hoc commercial projects, competitor benchmarking and post‑season review processes.
Qualifications
- Current enrolment in a Bachelor's or Master's programme in fashion business, merchandising, retail management, marketing or a related discipline.
- Demonstrable interest in luxury fashion merchandising and commercial analysis.
- Strong analytical aptitude with attention to detail and an ability to synthesise sales and inventory data.
- Excellent organisational skills and capacity to manage multiple tasks within tight seasonal timelines.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills appropriate for cross‑departmental collaboration.

Experience
Previous internship or practical experience in fashion retail, merchandising or buying is preferred; familiarity with seasonal collection workflows and basic commercial reporting is advantageous.
Education
Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's programme in fashion merchandising, retail management, business, marketing or a closely related discipline.
