Chanel Paris seeks a Product Manager, Woven Textiles (CDD) to lead woven fabric development, sampling and supplier coordination for seasonal collections.
Role & Responsibilities
- Own the product lifecycle for woven textile ranges from concept through production for seasonal collections.
- Translate creative direction into technical specifications, detailed technical packs and fit/quality requirements.
- Manage sampling, prototyping and approvals with internal ateliers and external suppliers to meet timing and quality targets.
- Collaborate closely with design, sourcing, production, quality control and merchandising to ensure commercial, technical and aesthetic alignment.
- Conduct material research and develop fabric constructions, yarn selections and finishing processes appropriate to the maison’s standards.
- Negotiate with suppliers on lead times, technical solutions and cost optimisation while safeguarding quality and brand positioning.
- Monitor production timelines and resolve technical or quality issues during development and pre‑production phases.
- Maintain clear documentation for materials, specifications and compliance throughout the development cycle.
Qualifications
- Degree in textile engineering, material sciences, fashion design, or equivalent specialised training.
- Strong technical knowledge of woven fabric constructions, yarns, finishing and garment behaviour.
- Proven ability to produce precise technical packs, specifications and quality standards for production.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills with the capacity to manage concurrent development tracks.
- Professional communication skills; fluent French is strongly recommended and professional English is preferred.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships within luxury supply chains.

Experience
Minimum 3–5 years in product development or product management within fashion, with demonstrable experience developing woven fabrics and managing sampling and supplier relationships for premium or luxury brands.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or higher in textile engineering, materials science, fashion design, or a related discipline.
