Chanel is hiring a Product Manager at Westfield UTC in San Diego to lead boutique merchandising, inventory and commercial performance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day product and merchandising operations for the Westfield UTC boutique, ensuring assortment integrity and brand presentation at boutique level.
- Manage inventory flow including ordering, replenishment, stock allocation and transfers to maximise sell-through while minimising stock obsolescence.
- Drive commercial performance through weekly sales analysis, KPI monitoring, stock-to-sales optimisation and targeted action plans.
- Execute seasonal launches, exclusives and limited-edition drops in close collaboration with regional merchandising and buying teams.
- Coach and train boutique staff on product storytelling, features/benefits, clienteling techniques and merchandising execution to elevate conversion and average transaction value.
- Coordinate with visual merchandising and store operations to ensure window and floor plans reflect current assortment and brand guidelines.
- Maintain loss-prevention best practices and accurate stock records through cycle counts and adherence to inventory controls.
- Serve as the boutique’s primary liaison with corporate merchandising, supply chain and distribution to resolve assortment, delivery and allocation issues.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership and people management skills with the ability to coach high-performing retail teams.
- Strong commercial acumen and proficiency in sales analysis and KPI-driven decision making.
- Deep knowledge of luxury product categories, client expectations and merchandising principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration and client-facing interactions.
- Authorization to work in the United States.

Experience
Typically 3–5+ years of progressive experience in luxury retail merchandising, product management or boutique operations, including demonstrable success in inventory optimisation, launch execution and team leadership.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in business, merchandising, fashion or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience in luxury retail.
