Chanel Product Manager role in Taipei City, Taiwan — manage fashion merchandising, buying strategies, and inventory across boutiques.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop fashion product categories in collaboration with senior management, incorporating market knowledge and evolving business context with OBOS buying strategies
  • Prepare Open-to-Buy (OTB) projections, purchase orders, and product assortment plans tailored to each boutique location across Taiwan Region
  • Attend buying sessions in Paris and virtually; prepare comprehensive analysis and supporting documentation for buying meetings
  • Conduct post-buy meetings, finalize purchase orders, and communicate buying strategies and proposals with business partners
  • Monitor collection launches and coordinate between merchandising, retail, supply chain, and visual merchandising teams to ensure sales targets achievement
  • Conduct regular boutique visits to observe customer feedback, manage stock allocation, sales performance, and visual display execution
  • Co-host specialist meetings with merchandising, retail, SEM, visual merchandising, marketing, and training teams to develop team capabilities
  • Support Events and Customer Experience Management activities with appropriate stock levels to reinforce brand positioning
  • Monitor sell-through performance by collection and product category; identify challenges through customer and boutique feedback
  • Collaborate with merchandising planning, boutique managers, visual merchandising, supply chain, and SEM teams to develop action plans addressing product performance issues
  • Ensure global and regional pricing proposals align with local market context and collect feedback on digital content across platforms
  • Coach and supervise Merchandise Executive team members in day-to-day operations, product knowledge development, inter-boutique transfers, and quantitative and qualitative data analysis
  • Lead involvement and implementation of global and regional projects supporting business objectives and target achievement

Qualifications

  • University degree or above, preferably in business administration or fashion design
  • More than 5 years of work experience in retail or fashion industry
  • More than 5 years in product merchandising roles with familiarity in buying philosophy, processes, and strategies
  • More than 5 years of supervisory and performance management experience
  • Merchandising experience in fashion luxury or accessory brands preferred
  • Strong analytical ability and demonstrated sense of fashion trends and luxury aesthetics
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills across retail, marketing, visual merchandising, and training teams
  • Proficiency in English for written and verbal communications
  • Outstanding attention to detail with strong planning and organizational capabilities
  • Adaptability to matrix organization structures and complex work environments

Experience

More than 5 years of experience in retail or fashion industry with demonstrated expertise in product merchandising, buying processes, and strategies. Minimum 5 years of supervisory and performance management experience required. Experience in luxury fashion or accessory merchandising is strongly preferred.

Education

University degree or above, preferably in business administration or fashion design.
