Chanel seeks a Product Manager for the Neiman Marcus Chicago account — Chicago, IL. Manager-level role overseeing assortment, allocations and partner relations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Own the product assortment and lifecycle for the Neiman Marcus Chicago account, coordinating seasonal launches, exclusives and replenishment to maximise sell-through and brand representation.
- Partner with Neiman Marcus merchandising and store leadership to align on floor sets, visual standards, inventory allocation and promotional activity specific to the account.
- Forecast demand, manage allocations and drive inventory optimisation to minimise stockouts and markdown exposure while meeting sales and margin targets.
- Translate global product strategies into actionable in-store plans, ensuring compliance with Chanel merchandising directives and luxury service standards.
- Provide commercial analysis and regular reporting on sell-through, sell-in, ageing, and gross margin; recommend assortment and pricing actions based on data.
- Train and coach store leadership and sales teams on product narratives, clienteling opportunities and merchandising execution to elevate client experience.
- Act as the primary internal liaison across commercial, supply chain and distribution teams to resolve supply issues and prioritise allocations for the account.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing product or merchandising for a luxury brand within department store or wholesale channels.
- Demonstrable commercial acumen with a track record of driving sell-through, margin and inventory efficiency at account level.
- Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills, able to influence retail partners and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical capability to interpret sales and inventory metrics and convert insights into tactical plans.
- Exceptional communication skills and a polished luxury brand sensibility for client-facing training and merchandising governance.

Typically 5+ years in product, merchandising or commercial roles within luxury fashion or prestige beauty, with direct experience managing department-store or wholesale accounts.
Education
