Chanel seeks a Product Development Project Manager in Neuilly-sur-Seine to oversee makeup and beauty innovation from concept to production.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Pilot and coordinate multi-disciplinary project teams (International Marketing, R&D, Procurement, Packaging, Manufacturing) from marketing brief through first industrial production to ensure product delivery according to defined timelines
  • Conduct feasibility studies to ensure alignment between marketing briefs, technical solutions, project timing, and budgetary constraints
  • Guide product design through risk analysis and direct conception based on feasibility outcomes
  • Present project status and facilitate decision-making within COP and Project Committee governance structures
  • Manage project schedules with responsibility for intermediate milestones including feasibility reviews, design reviews, and industrialization reviews
  • Challenge technical stakeholders to identify optimal balance between project objectives, resource allocation, risk mitigation, and proposed solutions
  • Monitor and control product unit cost and project budget adherence
  • Ensure compliance with Chanel's product development processes and conduct training for new project team members
  • Lead cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives for product development methodologies

Qualifications

  • Advanced education (Bac +5 or equivalent): engineering degree, business school diploma, or university qualification
  • Demonstrated cross-functional management and team coordination abilities
  • Strong relational and emotional intelligence: relationship orientation, agility, persuasive influence, stress resilience, and adaptability
  • Expertise with project management tools including Teamcenter and Orchestra platforms
  • Creative mindset with strong problem-solving orientation in collective environments
  • Proven analytical capability and drive for results
