Chanel seeks a Product Development Assistant in Paris. Support luxury fashion accessories development from concept through launch.
Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain and animate collection tracking documentation for weekly meetings with Development, Quality, Industrialisation, Production, and Components Transformation teams
- Generate technical specifications for knitwear development initiatives
- Create and enrich product components within the PLM tool in coordination with manufacturers
- Ensure accuracy of product nomenclatures, including materials, trims, and supply requirements
- Monitor and clear material flags throughout the collection lifecycle, deflagging upon product cancellations
- Coordinate materials and trims management in alignment with Ready-to-Wear teams
- Track post-showroom product cancellations and updates
- Conduct post-collection manufacturer debriefs
- Oversee parcel receipt, track manufacturer shipments, and maintain daily tracking documentation
- Update and refine operational processes as needed
Qualifications
- Baccalaureate plus 4–5 years of studies (Master's-level coursework)
- Prior internship experience in luxury and/or fashion sector
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
- Demonstrated rigour and organisational discipline
- Ability to work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams
- Self-directed initiative and adaptability
Skills
Experience
At least one prior internship in luxury and/or fashion product development, with demonstrated exposure to accessories or apparel categories.
Education
Currently pursuing or holding a Baccalaureate plus 4–5 qualification (Master's-level studies), with specialisation in fashion, design, product development, or luxury goods management.
