Chanel in Florence (Osmannoro) seeks a Procurement and Production Planner on a fixed-term contract to manage procurement, production scheduling and supplier coordination.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain short- and medium-term production schedules to meet delivery, quality and inventory targets for the Florence (Osmannoro) site.
  • Translate sales forecasts and collection plans into procurement requirements and production plans using MRP logic.
  • Coordinate end-to-end supplier interactions, from purchase order placement through order confirmation, delivery follow-up and exception management.
  • Monitor inventory levels, material lead times and safety stock; trigger replenishment and expedite actions to prevent production delays.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with design, sourcing, quality control and manufacturing to align capacities, raw‑material availability and launch dates.
  • Track supplier performance and logistics KPIs; propose corrective actions and continuous-improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate production and procurement records in the ERP system and produce regular reports for stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in production planning, materials planning or procurement within apparel, leather goods or related manufacturing environments.
  • Solid understanding of MRP/DRP and inventory optimisation principles.
  • Fluency in Italian and professional working knowledge of English preferred (if not explicitly stated in source).
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
