Chanel in Florence (Osmannoro) seeks a Procurement and Production Planner on a fixed-term contract to manage procurement, production scheduling and supplier coordination.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain short- and medium-term production schedules to meet delivery, quality and inventory targets for the Florence (Osmannoro) site.
- Translate sales forecasts and collection plans into procurement requirements and production plans using MRP logic.
- Coordinate end-to-end supplier interactions, from purchase order placement through order confirmation, delivery follow-up and exception management.
- Monitor inventory levels, material lead times and safety stock; trigger replenishment and expedite actions to prevent production delays.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, sourcing, quality control and manufacturing to align capacities, raw‑material availability and launch dates.
- Track supplier performance and logistics KPIs; propose corrective actions and continuous-improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate production and procurement records in the ERP system and produce regular reports for stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent.
- Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in production planning, materials planning or procurement within apparel, leather goods or related manufacturing environments.
- Solid understanding of MRP/DRP and inventory optimisation principles.
- Fluency in Italian and professional working knowledge of English preferred (if not explicitly stated in source).
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
