Chanel seeks a Process Technician for industrial scale-up and makeup product development in Pantin, France. Full-time CDI position.
Role & Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate process risks, technical challenges, and scale-up obstacles arising from technological differential and production increase
- Develop operational procedures incorporating safety, ergonomics, industrial performance, and eco-design considerations
- Draft test protocols, execute pilot manufacturing runs, and produce comprehensive technical reports
- Manage physical material flows required for pilot-scale transpositions
- Conduct physico-chemical controls and propose corrective actions as needed
- Write operational procedures and transfer documentation for manufacturing plants with optimised industrialisation conditions
- Monitor initial production runs at manufacturing sites
- Provide technical assistance to production facilities during troubleshooting
- Support continuous improvement, quality, and safety initiatives across the department
Qualifications
- Diploma in industrial pharmacy, chemistry, chemical engineering, or process engineering (DUT/BTS level or equivalent +2/3 post-secondary)
- Significant experience in R&D or the cosmetic-pharmaceutical industry
- Strong knowledge and sensitivity to makeup products with demonstrated experience developing and/or transposing cosmetic-pharmaceutical formulations
- Proficiency with Word and Excel; SAP software experience is advantageous
- Organised mindset with strong collaborative interpersonal skills and technical curiosity

Significant professional experience in R&D or the cosmetic-pharmaceutical industry, with demonstrated expertise in product development and industrial-scale transposition of beauty formulations.
Education
Baccalauréat +2/3 qualification in industrial pharmacy, chemistry, chemical engineering, or process engineering (DUT or BTS level, or equivalent).
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Pantin, Île-de-France, France, with easy access to Paris.
