Chanel — Paris: Press Assistant Intern (Horlogerie Joaillerie) starting May 2026. Internship in PR and media relations for watches & high jewellery.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the France press team for watches and high jewellery with day-to-day media relations activities.
- Draft and adapt press materials (press releases, notes, biographies) in French and English.
- Maintain and update French media lists and contact databases; prepare targeted mailing campaigns.
- Coordinate press previews, product loans, media accreditation and on-site logistics for events.
- Track and compile press coverage and clippings; produce regular monitoring reports for internal stakeholders.
- Liaise with internal teams (marketing, product, visual) and external agencies to ensure aligned communications.
- Assist with creation and archiving of press kits, imagery and documentation following brand standards.
Qualifications
- Native or near-native proficiency in French with excellent written expression; strong command of English.
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field.
- Previous internship or coursework in PR, media relations or fashion communications is strongly preferred.
- Professional discretion, impeccable attention to detail and capacity to manage confidential materials.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines, prioritise tasks and coordinate across multiple stakeholders.
Skills
Experience
Internship-level role; ideally 1 previous internship or practical experience in PR, communications or media within luxury goods, fashion, watches or jewellery.
Education
Enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master’s program in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or equivalent.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Paris, Île-de-France, France.
