Chanel PR Coordinator in Tokyo: luxury beauty communications role requiring 3–10 years fragrance PR experience and business-level English.
Role & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with PR Manager to develop and execute PR plans based on new product calendar and brand strategy
- Secure premium media placements through press events, product launches, and brand news communications across print, digital, and social platforms
- Evolve existing PR initiatives by identifying and implementing enhanced online and social media exposure opportunities
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with print and digital media contacts, beauty journalists, writers, makeup artists, and beauty influencers
- Manage tie-ups and editorial collaborations, ensuring creative output aligns with brand standards
- Coordinate ambassador and influencer participation in events, including media outreach and talent management
- Prepare and distribute comprehensive press kits including press releases, imagery, and event materials
- Liaise with global PR teams, negotiate partnership terms, and manage spokesperson-related communications
- Build strategic relationships and collaborate with internal stakeholders across F&B PR, Fashion, digital, and cooperative teams
- Support long-term brand positioning strategy by identifying and communicating culturally relevant Chanel narratives that resonate with both emerging and affluent audiences
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–10 years of luxury beauty and fragrance PR experience
- Demonstrated expertise in press relations and media strategy within the beauty or luxury sectors
- Strong project management capabilities with ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Collaborative team orientation with flexibility in a fast-paced environment
- Cultural and trend sensitivity across fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and youth culture
- Business-level English proficiency
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
