Chanel — Neuilly‑sur‑Seine: Contract PLV/Merchandising Designer (Perfumes & Beauty) to design POS displays and manage prototyping and production.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop creative concepts and technical designs for point‑of‑sale (PLV) displays, fixtures and retail sets for perfumes and beauty launches, in line with Chanel brand guidelines.
  • Produce detailed technical drawings, specifications and manufacturing packs for prototyping and production (materials, finishes, tolerances, assembly instructions).
  • Drive prototyping and sample validation: supervise mock‑ups, iterate with model‑makers and workshops to ensure quality and feasibility.
  • Coordinate with global and regional merchandising, marketing and sales teams to adapt global concepts to local store footprints and regulatory constraints.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and production partners, monitor costs, lead times and quality control throughout the production cycle.
  • Oversee installation and in‑store roll‑outs, provide on‑site support as required and ensure displays meet visual and safety standards.
  • Maintain project timelines and budgets, prepare technical documentation and post‑launch reporting for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Proven portfolio of PLV, retail display or packaging design work for beauty, fragrance or luxury brands.
  • Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes and retail engineering for high‑end displays.
  • Ability to translate creative direction into precise technical documentation and production‑ready files.
  • Proven vendor management experience and familiarity with prototyping workflows.
  • Excellent visual sensibility and meticulous attention to finish and detail.

Experience
