Chanel in North York seeks Phones and Cashier Support to manage boutique calls and POS transactions at the boutique.
Role & Responsibilities
- Answer and professionally manage incoming boutique telephone enquiries, directing calls and taking accurate messages or appointment requests.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process sales, returns and exchanges in accordance with brand policies.
- Perform cash handling duties including till operation, reconciliation and end-of-day balancing following internal controls and loss-prevention procedures.
- Support clienteling activities by scheduling appointments, updating client records and communicating follow-ups to sales advisors.
- Escalate complex client enquiries and service requests to sales staff or management while preserving brand standards of discretion.
- Assist with boutique opening and closing procedures, including secure cash transfers and paperwork.
- Maintain accurate phone logs and transaction documentation to support reporting and audit requirements.
- Uphold Chanel visual and service standards on the sales floor and at the till, ensuring an exceptional client experience.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience handling cash and operating a retail till or POS system.
- Previous customer-service experience in a retail or hospitality environment; luxury retail experience preferred.
- Strong verbal communication and telephone etiquette with a professional manner.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail for cash reconciliation and record keeping.
- Ability to follow security and confidentiality protocols appropriate to a luxury brand.
- Flexible availability including weekends and peak retail periods; able to work within boutique scheduling.
Experience
Typically 1–2 years of retail, cashier or client-facing experience is preferred; experience within luxury retail or premium service environments is an asset.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary coursework in retail, hospitality or commerce is advantageous.
